Woven Studio Wrap
The Woven Studio Wrap was inspired by the beautiful Studio Dog Fibers 3-ply Aran Weight yarn. It has such bounce, squish, and round construction. I wanted to create something to wrap myself up in this fantastic yarn. This wrap is worked in the round from start to finish. When you bind off, you will unravel a section of stitches that will be steeked to become the fringe. No going back to add the fringe!! Twisted stitches along the fringe keep your stitches from going anywhere. The design is completely reversible, I had a hard time deciding which side I liked best. Keep yourself cozy on a night in or dress it up for an evening out!
YARN
* Studio Dog Fibers Pride of Ohio (100% Blended Corriedale/ Border Leicester) 3 ply Aran Weight 185 yds/ 3.5 oz (169 m/ 100 g)
White, 4 skeins
* OR 700 yards of Aran weight yarn
NEEDLES * US 10 (6 mm) circular needle 48 to 60” length (or size needed to obtain gauge)
NOTIONS * tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers
GAUGE * 14 stitches and 20 rows = 4” / 10 cm in main body stitch, blocked
SIZE * length with fringe 83”/ 208 cm | width 18”/ 45 cm
SKILLS * knit, purl, knit through the back loop, slip stitches, working in the round, seeking
NOTES * A classic reversible wrap worked in the round. You create fringe as you go, dropped stitches that get steeked at the end! A loose gauge gives the Aran weight yarn an amazing wearable drape.
